Person holding a small yellow flower in their open hands.

You do not have to carry everything alone anymore.

Therapy can offer a safe space to pause, process, heal and reconnect with yourself at your own pace.

Perhaps you've been holding things together for a long time.

You may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, exhausted or disconnected from yourself.

Maybe something from your past is still affecting you, or life simply feels harder than it used to.

Whatever has brought you here, you don't need to have all the words or know where to begin.

Counselling can give you a safe, confidential space to slow down, make sense of what you're feeling and begin to reconnect with yourself — at a pace that feels right for you.

About Me

Hello, I’m Andrea

I'm a BACP Registered Integrative Counsellor offering counselling in Lisburn and Dromore.

Before becoming a counsellor, I spent 14 years working as a nurse. During that time, I supported people through some of the most vulnerable, frightening and difficult moments of their lives.

It taught me something that has stayed at the heart of how I work today: sometimes what we need most is to feel genuinely heard, understood and accepted without judgement.

My approach to counselling is warm, compassionate and down-to-earth. You won't be expected to arrive knowing exactly what to say or where to begin.

We start wherever you are.

What I can offer

You will be welcomed into a calm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can speak openly and be heard without pressure or judgement.

Together, we can explore the thoughts, emotions and experiences that may be impacting your wellbeing, helping you develop greater self-understanding, emotional resilience and healing.

I support clients with :

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Low self-esteem/self-worth

  • Grief and loss

  • Traumatic experiences

  • Stress/Burnout

  • Relationship difficulties

  • Emotional overwhelm

Therapeutic Approaches

As an integrative counsellor, I tailor therapy to your individual needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.

This flexible approach allows therapy to be adapted in a way that feels most helpful, empowering and meaningful for you.

My work may include person-centred therapy, CBT, psychodynamic approaches, trauma-informed practice, nervous system regulation, parts/inner-child work and creative approaches.

I believe that every person deserves to feel emotionally safe, respected and accepted exactly as they are. My work is client-led, ethical and collaborative, meaning you remain at the centre of the therapeutic process.

Your autonomy, choices, pace and personal experiences are deeply valued, and together we work to build greater self-awareness, resilience, healing and growth.

I am also a member of Creative Counsellors and, if creative counselling is something you would like, we can work creatively as part of our sessions. This might involve exploring or expressing your experiences through drawing, or using objects such as stones, buttons or figurines.

Sometimes working creatively can help us explore thoughts, feelings or experiences that can be difficult to put into words.
